I’ve been taking photos for more than 50 years – from the days of the Brownie Bullet, through the glory days of Kodachrome, right up to the digital camera I use today.
I love to capture the beauty and poignancy of moments in time. I love to see the images come to life again long after the fact, reminding me of the wonders of this planet, the joys and plights of life played out in faces, and the intricacies of even the most simple objects.
I look for 'light' and 'shadows', to purposefully reflect life in all its beauty and devastation, its rejoicing and sorrow, The camera then is a portal through which we are called to "behold - a calling our attention to something important, inviting us to see differently, to observe with care." (Eyes of the Heart)
I welcome you to join me on my journey.
